INNOCENT HEARTS
INTRODUCTION
The site is located in a small village of Diwali near Jalandhar Cantt, getting a direct access from Jalandhar Cantt – Jandiala Road.
Because of the adjoining ‘nallah’ & drop of 5 feet in site level from road level, the designers had to face challenges of water clogging. For this, the entire building has been proposed to be raised on stilts (eight feet above site), thus making the plinth level three feet above road level. This gives an added advantage of using the whole site area as ‘covered parking’. A footbridge has been proposed for the pedestrians, making the outdoor circulation easy during heavy rainfall.
AIM
To design Innocent Hearts School At Diwali consisting of 48 classes & other facilities like Labs, Admin, etc for quality education of students from 1st Grade to 12th Grade in the Senior Block, providing a separate wing for the tot-lots called Innokids, consisting of 10 classes with facilities like play area, toy library etc., & playgrounds cum assembly ground site level to make whole learning experience fun.
